Chapter 258: Anarchy – Volume 3.End
Time, an unstoppable force, sweeps through the world with an irrefutable impact, shaping and molding everything in its passage.
At times, the changes are significant, and at other times, they are subtle.
Years and decades might hold little significance, while certain moments wield immeasurable impact.
Such was the case for the past few months in the world has experienced the most significant changes and impacts in human history.
These months marked the beginning of the true era of opportunities and the complete destruction of all social hierarchies.
In this era, gaining superpowers has become the primary goal for everyone as it equates to having all the world has to offer.
Led and orchestrated by Lorien from afar, the emergence of superpowers worldwide triggered swift conflicts for territory and dominion.
These battles inevitably resulted in the downfall of all government bodies, with Dream Path Walkers seizing control of the different established domains.
Even nations such as Japan and Tunisia which were backed by Lorien, faced similar fates.
After all, witnessing these changes, the former Jujutsu HQs were forced to alter their strategies, opting to assume control of the countries to quell any emerging chaos.
However, with the Zenin family's destruction and the numerous ensuing battles for either vengeance or greed, Japan's Jujutsu HQ underwent a complete personnel overhaul, further intensifying the tumultuous shift.
So, given all these circumstances, the only nation that navigated this upheaval calmly was Tunisia as it had Lorien as the leader of the Jujutsu HQ causing any and all greed or dubious notions to be nipped in the buds.
But even then there had to be battles for control over the domains, after all, Lorien simply didn't want to intervene in such matters.
It's just that as chaotic as all of this sounds, these changes didn't actually affect normal people much.
This is mainly because following the launch of the Dream Path, Lorien immediately began using his power to automatize the production of food, grain, and water while also forcing all battles and conflicts to separate spaces or to the nightmare realm.
This ensured that, regardless of the conflicts among Dream Path Takers, ordinary people could patiently await the outcomes in relative security.
Although not a flawless solution, it did minimize casualties and chaos among the general populace caused by battles for Domain Dominion.
'Ugh…'
'But it seems that I have underestimated the malice in the human heart.'
Sitting atop one of the skyscrapers in Tokyo, Lorien couldn't help but look sadly at the people fighting below.
'It seems that even if I have provided the people with all the food and water they need, they still fight.'

'With the collapse of governmental rules, the hidden malice in the human heart emerges from the shadows.'
'But thankfully, it appears that humanity isn't hopeless yet.'
Gazing at the many volunteers below from the general populace, ex-cops, and ex-military personnel, Lorien couldn't help but nod silently affirming their actions.
Faced with the sudden collapse of the government and the complete anarchy that ensued, these people stood up to protect those around them acting as make-shift cops.
'While not perfect, their actions have brought very precious time for those around them!'
'Enough time for the shift in authority to be completed.'
Using his power to scan the world, Lorien could instantly tell that all the empty Domains now have a master.
So, all that's left now is for these Dream Path Takers who stood up from the crowd to take control and set the rules and new social orders.
After all, even though there were some attempts from other Dream Path Takers to do this before gaining control of the domains, these tries have ultimately faced failure as they lacked the necessary legitimacy.
As for the possibility of these Dream Path Takers to instead spread chaos and anarchy?
That's completely impossible as one of the requirements to awaken and join the dream path is to be good-hearted and kind.
Such kindness could also be seen in the fact that despite the many battles, there weren't actually many deaths.
'Tsk, I just hope that those guys aren't too kind-hearted…'
'If it weren't for me influencing them somehow, I doubt that they might have just ignored the domains and not fought.'
'Sigh…'
'Everything has its advantages and limits it seems.'
'But this is still much better than doing everything myself; It's better to let the people govern themselves than me forcefully controlling everything and then just leaving.'
'It's really exciting, the future of this world.'
Smiling happily, Lorien's eyes couldn't help but narrow as he thought of the many possibilities.
'However, it's to leave.'
'I've stayed here longer than I had previously planned.'
'And while I did stay productive in this period of time, absorbing Dream Energy whenever I could, things quickly became boring.'
Indeed, while managing the universal shift across the world, Lorien still managed to have time to absorb Dream Energy and pass the time with Yuki and his friends.
This attitude together with the near infinite amount of Dream Energy allowed Lorien to increase his physical and soul strength to a higher level thereby increasing his Divine Sense Range to 14 Kilometers.
'Self-improvement still provides the best pleasure.'
Shaking his head, Lorien eventually decided to set aside these thoughts as he stood up and glanced at the two women beside him.
"It's time for me to leave. I'll leave the world management to you."
"Why don't you stay longer? It's not like there is anything hunting you." Said Yuki who had been standing silently next to Lorien.
"Why don't you come with me? It's not like there is anything here keeping you." Replied Lorien with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.
Hearing this, Maki, who was currently leaning against the wall, couldn't help but chuckle.
She had already witnessed the two bicker about this countless times in the past few months, and it never got old.
Lorien wants Yuki and her to go traveling with him while both of them want to stay in this world to finally rest and to make sure that everything goes according to plan.
So, this subject has always remained something that would always spring up in their talks.
Seeing this, Lorien just shrugged his shoulders and decided to just skip this subject as he knew that it would get him nowhere.
So, not wasting any more time, Lorien raised his hand and began using his [World Authority] granting the two women in front of him some 'Moderation' power so they could manage the world when he was away.
Doing so, Lorien turned his head toward the sky giving this world one last look before waving his hand and disappearing, only leaving behind a single phrase.
"Take care of yourselves, I'll be back soon."
These were the only words Lorien wanted to convey at this moment; After all, he had already expressed everything that needed to be said in the past few months.
But unlike him, it appeared that the two women had more to say as they just opened their mouths and closed them in hesitation, the weight of unspoken words evident in the air.
It's just that finally, what escaped their mouths was a collective, helpless, carrying with it a myriad of unexpressed thoughts.
'Sigh…'
